Buenos Aires - Eva is back in Buenos Aires after 42 years!!!

Overnight bus from "Cataratas", Puerto Iguazu, to Buenos Aries in 18 hours! That includes a stop at the middle of the night trying to fix some technical problems with the bus. They did, except from the AC.

Guess if it was like an owen in the morning!? Roberto and Mariel (My sister Margaretas and her husband Christian’s friends) had booked a hotel for us. In the Centro, safe and within our budget. Muchos gracias! They took us to a typical Argentinean restaurant Porteño, close to Rio de la Plata.

You are a "Porteño" if You are born in B.A. And the food.... I'm speechless....... I remember the Asado from when I used to live here in Buenos Aires, 1958-1962. Mariel and Roberto invited us to there Club to have a traditional Saturday Asado with their family. They are the best in hospitality and they keep saying: We will take care of You - You are our guests!! We will do the same WHEN (not if!!) they visit us in Sweden or during our trip. Maybe in Southeast Asia, during their winter (July, August).

We went with them to the place were I lived, Vicente Lopez and the house on Arenales 1383....and I was moved back 42 years in time!!! The school across was still there...I felt a bit sentimental...We enjoy B.A. very much, is a bit like Paris....And.... I recognize Plaza de Mayo!! I used to feed the pigeon with corn!! We still can buy corn!! Of course I had to do it again!

Tonight we are going by an overnight bus (14 hour) to Mendoza and do some wine tasting and discover the area close to the Andes. Will be back in B.A. around Oct. 31.
